TENEX-Japan supported the participation of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM and FSUE RosRAO in the 3rd International Forum on the Decommissioning of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station held in Alios Iwaki Performing Arts Center on August 6, 2018. At the poster session Rosatom showed an abstract of the project on the study of ageing properties of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, and explained that the research of Chernobyl samples and simulated samples imitating fuel debris (FDs) of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station will allow to estimate the mechanisms of FDs self-destruction to determine the factor most affecting the changes in properties, as well as to develop the prediction model of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station’s FD accelerated aging. RosRAO presented results of the development on an experimental mobile robotic manipulator (MRM) of anthropomorphic design to conduct work within radiation fields.
