TENEX-Japan participated in the 4th International Forum on the Decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station held by the Nuclear Damage Compensation and Decommissioning Facilitation Corporation (NDF) in Tomioka town and Iwaki city, Fukushima prefecture on August 4-5, 2019, providing support to State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM companies and organizations JSC TENEX, SSC RIAR JSC and FSUE RosRAO.
On the first day of the event, aimed mainly at the local community, FSUE RosRAO Deputy Director General for Overseas Businesses Sergey Florya, invited by NDF as a speaker, gave a special lecture on the topic of public relations in decommissioning.
A poster session was held on August 5, where JSC TENEX and SSC RIAR JSC presented an overview of the study of ageing properties of fuel debris conducted over 1 year from March 2018 to April 2019 based on the research of Chernobyl fuel debris samples and simulated samples which were developed based on an estimation of the composition of the fuel debris at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.
