TENEX-Japan accompanied several delegations from Japanese companies and organisations to the 11th International Forum ATOMEXPO 2019, held on April 15-16 in Sochi, Russia. This major nuclear industry event has been held annually since 2009 and provides an opportunity for companies from all over the world to promote leading technologies, develop relationships and share experience across the entire nuclear fuel cycle.
A special event “Current Status of Post-Accident Fukushima” was organized by TENEX with the support of TENEX-Japan as part of the Forum programme: Mr Tatsuya Shinkawa, Director General for International Energy and Technology Cooperation, Director General for Nuclear Accident Disaster Response at Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Japan (METI), and Mr Masumi Ishikawa, General Manager at Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc. (TEPCO), gave presentations about the current status of Fukushima Daiichi NPP decommissioning and the reconstruction efforts in Fukushima prefecture.
